Been dumped? Stop pining for him. Here’s what you need to do to move on – quickly!

Don't stalk him.
The last thing you should be doing if you've just been dumped is following his every move, sending him desperate messages and/or calling him at bizarre hours of the night, begging for another chance. It won’t work.

He'll only end up losing respect for you.

Don’t act as if nothing is wrong.
Bottling up your feelings is bad for your emotional health. Talk to your friends, family or someone who you trust.

Remember, it’s good to let it all out.

Get out.
A few days in hiding are okay. But don't lock yourself indoors – and shut the world out – for too long.

You’ll only feel worse.

Switch your phone off.
We’re ALL guilty of this. But, honestly? Waiting for your cell to buzz or for a message to come through–in the hopes that it's him – is no way to move on.

Let your friends know what you’re experiencing and tell them to contact you via email, or *shock* via the landline.

Outta sight, outta mind.
Get rid of all the memorabilia. You won’t get over him if you’re surrounded by pictures of him - or of the two of you.

Get a makeover.
Retail therapy works, people! A sexy dress, a consultation with a make-up artist or a change in hairstyle or colour...

These are sure to lift your spirits.
