So last week we brought you the first in our series to decode what the opposite sex really means. Decoding girl-speak it was called.
This week we examine what the boys say. And what they REALLY mean.
Scenario:
You’re in the middle of a fight because he has hurt your feelings or made you angry. You are either crying, or shouting, or being cold. Out of the blue he suddenly says:
“I’m sorry.”
You stand perplexed. The one moment he was coming at you all guns blazing and the next, he’s suddenly contrite.
“Why are you sorry? You don’t even know what I’m angry about?” you ask with a frown.
“Uhm… I’m sorry that you’re angry?”
Hah. I’m sure you are, buddy.
What he means is:
“I don’t like it when you’re angry at me. Please stop it.”
Which also translates to:
“I’m sorry I made you mad. If I knew you were going to react like this I would never have told you.”
Which also translates to:
“I don’t feel like arguing because the game is starting soon and I was still hoping to have sex with you before kickoff. Forgive me?”
Does your partner say one thing when they mean another? Tell us about it in the box below...
