Marina Green
Drawing on 9 years of experience writing and researching the field of female sexuality, researcher and journalist Marina Green has become widely known as the champion of women's empowerment, health, wellness and sexuality.
Inspired by successful sex-positive and women-orientated commercial initiatives in Europe and the USA, such as Eve's Garden in New York, which were created to "empower women to celebrate their sexuality as a positive, nourishing and creative force in their lives", in 2005 Marina founded Whet Sensuality Emporium as well as the unique brand of Seductively South African range of Personal Products.
Whet Sensuality Emporium is the result of Marina's desire to create a space in South Africa where women are encouraged to explore their sensuality and sexuality in a wholistic way. The high street experience integrates sensuality, sexuality and spirituality and aims to help South African women overcome any sense of shame or guilt around historical attitudes towards the sexual nature of women as sinful.
Her core message, and one that is gathering global momentum via the internet and other commercially acceptable activities, is that women can build stronger relationships and enhance intimacy by taking charge of their own pleasure.
Currently involved in several projects focusing on women's sexual and reproductive well-being, Marina's advice will be of great benefit in informing, educating and motivating women to explore a variety aspects of their sexual health and well-being in a world filled with too much "sexual white noise" and "how to be sexy" articles without the necessary open discussion and debate around these key issues.
