vegetables seedlings.
PLANT CARE: Water. Sow. Plant and transplant. Propagate cuttings. Sow lawn seed.
Fertilize. Mulch. Thin out vegetables seedlings. Feed spring bulbs which are
still active. Feed young vegetables. Tend fruit trees. Feed and water annuals
and ground covers. Feed young vegetables. Continue to tend
winter-flowering bulbs until they die down. Tend roses. Lift spring bulbs when
leaves turn yellow.
MONDAY’S
NEW MOON: Take a rest from gardening. Nurture your body, and plan for
its care – so that you may care for the garden.

to Thursday 17-19 November
Waxing Sagittarius Moon. Sun in Scorpio
PLANT CARE: Pinch back growing tips. Remove faded flowers. Prune flowering plants, when
flowers have faded. Uproot spring-flowering annuals as they fade. To encourage
good-sized fruit, thin out the small new fruits on fruit trees and vines. Harvest
young vegetables. Lift spring bulbs when leaves turn yellow. Harvest young
vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit.
MAINTENANCE: Mow. Tend lawns. Mulch. Pull out weeds before they seed. Tend compost heap.
Prepare summer beds. Maintain pools and water features, and clear overgrowth
around them. Tidy rock gardens. Prepare for summer heat by creating wind
barriers, and ensuring plenty of compost for mulching. Watch out for and
control seasonal pests, diseases, and weeds.
