QUESTION

I had an accident and the panel beaters deemed the vehicle eneconimcal to repair, insurance agreed. The insurance company requested Wesbank not to de-register the vehicle but rather made it a code 2. They also stated that they felt the vehicle was structurally sound and had the capability to be repaired - is this legal, how can an insurance company try make a profit from my loss beacuse to me the car is worth more fixed than written off. When I went to the salvage yard to collect my radio and speakers, the car had already been sold, without offering it to me first - again this doesn't seem legal as the car still belongs to Wesbank until they settle with them. Am I imagining things or does something fishy seem to be going on here.... Please help
