Didn’t finish all the Lays chips? Keep the leftovers fresh for next time, with this awesome idea that is so, so simple.
Zip-lock bags are all good and well, but why waste money on them when you can make something similar with plastic caps from empty cold drink bottles?
I found this really useful DIY project on www.upcyclethat.com – a website, filled with fantastic new uses for ‘old’ stuff that we’d otherwise throw away. Check out more of their upcycling ideas.
Instructions:
1. Cut off the top part of an empty plastic bottle.
2. Remove the cap.
3. Push the bag or packet through the neck.
4. Fold the edges over.
5. Twist the cap back on.
And voila... Your bag or packet is now both air- and water-tight. See? Told you it was clever!

Great, but I’ll stick to zip-locks.
