DIY workshop
Join Home and the South African Institute of Welding (SAIW) on a course that will make all those DIY tasks you've been itching to tackle, much easier. The SAIW is the country's centre of welding expertise, and their team of qualified instructors will teach you the basics of welding, leaving you confident enough to embark on projects alone. You'll be shown how to safely use welding tools, make your own candleholder – and be equipped with the knowledge needed to work on more advanced projects such as stools and garden tables.

DIY Power tools workshops – Cap Town
Home DIY editor Ashley Stemmett will show you how to make floating shelves to use as a bookcase or CD and DVD rack and also give safety tips on working with power tools. You will learn how to safely use a jigsaw, drills, sander and cordless tools. All materials, tools and accessories will be supplied by Mica.
