Carrot's tops

Carrots not only give you curly locks and good eyesight, they are also the perfect ingredient in many dishes.

Glazed carrots

Serves: 4 – 6
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes

  • 1kg carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 60ml butter
  • salt to taste
  • 7.5ml sugar
  • a handful of chopped parsley
  • juice of 1 lemon
    1 Place the carrots in a saucepan along with the butter, salt and sugar and just enough water to cover. Bring to boiling point, cover with the lid and simmer until the water has evaporated and the carrots are tender and glazed.
    2 Stir in the parsley and add lemon juice to taste. Serve
