About This Event
Now in it's 8th year, the Cellar Rats Spring Wine Festival has become a major draw card for weekend-tourism to the Magaliesberg area. Drawing 1500-2000 visitors the family festival seeks to promote an ethos of "good living".

The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial, and visitors are encouraged to stretch out and enjoy the lush green lawns, shady trees and cool spring breeze, whilst enjoying some of the finest wines South Africa has to offer.

Jumping castles and supervised entertainment for children will be available. Rugby live on large screen. Designated drivers get in for free.

Our emphasis is on tasting South Africa's best wines in a tranquil outdoor setting. To this end, more than 100 wine producers will present in excess of 600 wines for your enjoyment.

Some wines that will be on show are: Villiera, Klein Constantia, Thelema, Paul Cluver, Kaapzicht, Fairview, Glen Carlou, Hartenberg, Blaauwklippen, Bon Courage, Joubert-Tradauw, Savingnac De Versailles Pot Still Brandies, Slanghoek, The Berrio, The Black Oystercatcher, and many more.

Meal Information
Food and Refreshments will be available at the venue. Delicious picnic baskets are available and can be pre-booked at Computicket. Vegetarian picnic baskets can also be booked.

Please Note In support of the school fundraising, we regret no cooler boxes, picnic baskets or braais will be allowed in – Refreshments & food will be on sale. Blankets, chairs & sun umbrellas are allowed.
