These commercials were barred from TV in the 90s. After watching them, I can clearly see why!
I stumbled across these ol’ clips while trolling the net and I have to admit that I was a bit freaked out. No, wait, make that a lot.
The series of adverts - which include male and female models wearing Calvin Klein jeans - seem to be outtakes from model auditions. This wouldn't be so bad... if only they weren't totally creepy!
In each video, there is a man off-screen asking the models rather peculiar questions and making very suggestive remarks.
He says things like "You have a good body" or "Do you work out?".
He even asks one guy to rip his shirt off to prove his strength.
WEIRD!
These seem more like some eerie porno auditions than an ad to sell clothes.
Even YouTube users seem to agree. Comments below the video said things like "Why do I feel so dirty now?" and "I think I'm going to burn all my calvin klein apperal now" (sic).
I'm actually glad these were banned, but don't take my word for it - watch the video and judge for yourself.
What do you think of these ads?
