QUESTION
Hi, 26 and I'm using the Neutrogena Visibly even range at the moment the day moisturizer has a SPF30. I want to know if my medium dark skin needs more than a SPF30, should I use a wider spectrum SPF like 100 and is it okay to use one from a total diffrent range like Eucerin with a higher SPF if needed? Will the day moisturiser from Neutrogena (which is formulated to brighten dark scars and even out skin) not loose its effectiveness?
Thank you!
ANSWER
It is very important to use a sunscreen and an SPF 30 is sufficient for daily use. Any higher SPF and you may suffer from blocked pores and breakouts. You do not need another sunscreen if your moisturiser has an SPF30 already. If your moisturiser has no SPF, it is safe to use a sunscreen over that and the benefits of your moisturiser will not be affected.
