QUESTION
Can you suggest a lipstick or lipstain that really lasts? Is there a special way to apply for maximum wear? And also, I'm looking for a product (or some sort of make-up) that really keeps the shine at bay for my oily T-Zone?
ANSWER
The most talked about long-lasting lip colour is Maybelline's Superstay range.
Other solutions are...
1. Lip pencil can be applied over the entire mouth (instead of just the outline). Lip pencil generally lasts longer than lipstick.
2. After applying your lipstick, separate a tissue and hold a single sheet over your lips. Take a large make-up brush with loose powder on it, dust it over the tissue (through the tissue) onto your lips. This procedure helps to remove excess moisture from the lipstick (which is the cause of lipstick coming off easily) and the fine amount of powder assists in setting the lipstick. Repeat 2 to 3 times.
For shine control, try these make-up artist's favourites:
Bobbi Brown's Blotting Papers or PMU's Ulti-Matte Mattifier and Touch-up Powder.
