Hi Bronwen
I'm only 5'2" and a little overweight. I'm self employed and have been dressing casually for work, but now have a new contract and will have to go to lots of meetings, call on clients etc. Can you suggest how to smarten myself up please? I prefer long pants to skirts but otherwise I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks so much.

Best way to smarten up, is to go with a failsafe combination :
Tailored Trousers (can even be jeans)
Tailored Jacket
Blouse
and a heel.
You do not need to wear a mataching jacket and trousers. For instance, white slacks + black vest + black & white rose print jacket + red belt + black shoes : is both smart and chic.
