Perfume tips
Apply perfume where your blood vessels
are closest to the surface: inside your wrists,
behind your ears, inside your elbows,on your
ankles and behind your knees. Coco Chanel
once said that you should apply perfume
wherever you want to be kissed!
Make the fragrance last by using the bath
products and body lotion in the range.
Layering gives a fragrance greater depth.
Don't apply perfume to parts of your body
that are exposed to the sun – the alcohol in
the perfume can react in the sun and irritate
your skin and even leave pigmentation
marks.Rather apply your perfume to covered
skin or to your clothes.
Tips:
Our sense of smell can become 'immune '
to a fragrance if
we use it for a long
time,so be careful of
applying too much.
One spritz on your
neck and another on
both wrists or behind
your knees is ample.
Don't rush into
buying new perfume.
The fragrance you
spray on in the shop
will be quite different
to what it smells like
after a few hours.
Perfume reacts with
your skin and needs
time to develop.
Did you know
You may suddenly discover
that your favourite perfume
no longer smells the same.
Hormones can change
the way your skin reacts
to perfume – this is why
pregnant women may feel
nauseous on smelling a
perfume they've always
loved,and why perfume
can smell different on your
skin during menopause.The
solution?
If you don't want
to give up your favourite
fragrance, spray it on your
clothes (but be careful of
staining),or spray it into the
air and walk through the
'cloud' to give your hair and
clothing a subtle fragrance.
The good news is that
hormonal fluctuations are
often only temporary.
