As the founder of one of South Africa's most fêted jewellery and homeware design brands, Jenna Clifford has become synonymous with passion, style and luxury.
While her company, Jenna Clifford Designs, continues to soar, her philanthropic initiative, Dream Big, endeavoured with the help of SA swimming sensation, Ryk Neethling, is also making strides.
Now, sharing the prestigious honour with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Soweto Gospel Choir, she is also the United Nations South African Ambassador and torch bearer for the Millenium Development Goals 3: Call to Action Global Campaign, which draws attention to the empowerment of women and gender equality.
“Women help shape the future with their valuable contributions to all aspects of life, whether it is in the arts, science, or the business world,” says Clifford.
“I am honoured to have been appointed as UN South African Ambassador for this very important campaign, and I pledge to do as much as possible to level the playing field to help ensure gender equality.
"Importantly, this appointment enables me to spread this vital message to my peers and colleagues, and will hopefully encourage them to contribute to a changed society.”

Having pioneered the flourishing amalgamation of three businesses, The Executive Woman’s Club, and ProWaldo, a black woman's business forum, with NAWBO, the National Association of Women Business Owners, to form the Business Woman’s Association, Clifford is living proof that it is possible to balance a booming career with family life.
Other notable charity projects which Clifford is also involved in, includes the Cancer Foundation and the Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Centre to name just a few.
