Preparations are being made to end 2008 with a celebration, and Louwna has big plans for 2009. Stephen is drugged, and Louwna's friend's daughter has her eye
on Scab.
Everyone can't stop talking about the happenings of the previous night. Albert pokes
his nose into someone else's affairs, and Scab receives an unwelcome surprise.
5 – 9 January
Candy has a big surprise for her family, but a misunderstanding once again causes problems. Stephen is beside himself, and Krynauw is pleased to see his
plan falling into place.
Karin wonders where Stephen could be, and Audrey visits Shaun in prison. Mathias and Lara have reason to celebrate. Cat reveals the truth, and Krynauw is ready to
execute the last phase of his plan.
News spreads like wild fire, and Louwna is concerned about her son. Stephen realises what has happened, and the Smiths put shoulder to the wheel. Things start to get personal when Chris pays Krynauw a visit.
Louwna is at a loss for words when her biggest fear becomes areality. Bienkie drives Koert up the wall with a phone call, and Liam is fascinated by Lara's stories. Jane struggles to remain focused.
Nora feels Louwna's pain, and Stephen relies on drugs to get him through a tough time. Bienkie is up to her old tricks. Liam refuses to listen to Lara's reasoning.
12 – 13 January
After a talk with Cat, Albert thinks about his actions in the past. Zanele is back at work and on Rex's case. Bienkie and Nora experience a difficult day, and Louwna calls a meeting. Krynauw doesn't give up easily.
