Another Michael Jackson news-filled week, with no chance of it dying down anytime soon!
Michael mania...
For two weeks, MJ has dominated the press, every magazine cover, the radio, T.V. (E! has about 10 E! True Hollywood Stories on him) and all the sites are covering MJ related news and not to mention the music sales charts! It's Michael Mania!
Every concert on at the moment has included a tribute to the King. I was at a James Morrison concert on Saturday and he ended off with a rendition of Man in the Mirror. Brilliant! And old Madonna pulled out all the stops at her Sticky and Sweet Concert being performed at the O2 arena (where MJ was meant to perform) with a world class tribute to her own idol, Michael.
Ever since MJ passed away there has been lots of talk and speculation as to how the King was going to be laid to rest. His funeral was set to be on a par with his late pal Princess Diana's back in 1997. There were plenty of wacked out rumours that MJ was to be buried at his beloved Neverland Ranch in a solid gold coffin! Fans from around the world descended on Neverland for what they thought was going to be a huge public funeral but that wasn't how it went down.
Because of his huge amount of fans there had to be a public memorial for them to say goodbye and that there was! As I am sure you all did (along with 100 million or so other people – seriously, those were the actual stats!), the world watched as stars, friends, family and fans said goodbye to Michael in a celebration of his life at the Los Angeles Staples Centre. There was an online lottery to win tickets for the big two hour send off. Before the public service, a private service was held at Lawn Memorial park in L.A. where 1000 friends and family attended a ceremony called A Celebration of Life. The public memorial then took place and it was truly fit for a king!
The day began with elephants parading around the Staples Centre (MJ loved elephants!) as 17,500 fans and stars arrived to say goodbye to their king. The crème de la crème of the music world attended with greats like Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Mariah Carey, Usher , Queen Latifah and Lionel Richie in attendance. The Jackson clan was front in centre with all the Jackson brothers wearing one white glove as a tribute to their baby brother, MJ's signature look.
I watched absolutely riveted to the screen as the service went on! Special tributes to Michael and the Jackson clan were the order of the day. Musical legends of the Motown era such as Smokey Robinson paid incredible tribute to the man who changed the face of music forever. Letters from President Obama and our main man Mandela were read out and close friend, actress Brooke Shields made a moving emotional tribute to MJ, with whom she had been special friends since the young age of 13!
I almost cried buckets when songbird Jennifer Hudson sang Hold Me in honour of Michael (btw she also showed off her growing baby bump proudly!) and poor Mariah Carey performed too but could barely get through she was so emo! She even tweeted about how difficult it was for her. John Mayer (who looked smoking hot I may add!) performed a medley of MJ's famous tunes and Lionel Richie also sang.
The saddest moment of the night by far, seriously I was bawling like a baby, was at the end when the entire Jackson clan was up on stage and spoke and Michael's daughter Paris made an incredibly moving tribute to her dad. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, I launched into an ugly cry. She said, "I just want to say ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine, she said through tears. And I just want to say I love him so much..." The poor little thing couldn't even go on. Heartbreaking stuff!
So, as Michael is laid to rest there is still plenty stories coming out of the woodwork. There are so many questions left unanswered. His death has been ruled as deferred by the Los Angeles Police Department, meaning they still not sure of the cause of death. The fate of his beloved children is also unclear, his mother Katherine has won temporary custody of his three kids but it looks like Debbie Rowe (mother of two of his three kids) is willing to battle for them and now a bodyguard is claiming that MJ had a secret girlfriend for years.
He spilled, "I'm not going to name who she is but I think the family were aware that there was someone special in his life who he loved and adored and had his ups and downs with. I don't know how long they've been a couple. I know she's been with him for some time in different capacities but it's up to her if she wants it to come out or if the family wants to speak about this very private information." Well, who knows if it's true but I hope MJ had someone special to share the last months of life with.
In other news it's all been said that Michael was planning to release two new albums and had the material recorded already. Industry insiders are saying that the albums may be released, which would be amazing! I also came across this interesting titbit, some peeps believe MJs ghost is floating around Neverland after spotting a weird object in a video, check it out!

Chris Brown in trouble again?
Holy smack down, there is a storm brewing and a whole lotta drama going down! Chris Beat her down Brown is not having a good year (serves the douche bag right!) and should remember to try stay out of trouble but obviously he didn't get the memo. Just last weekend, Chris was getting himself into a whole lotta shiz by getting his sex on with music's egomanic, no not John Mayer, but none other than Kanye West's, lady love Amber Rose! Kanye has been getting all sexed up with model Amber for a few months now, parading his arm candy all over town like nobody's business.
Anyhoo, this past weekend was America's Independence Day weekend, 4th of July and the celebs were partying and skanking it up as per usual. Sean Combs/P Diddy/Puff Daddy (can't really remember what he likes to be called these days) threw a super shmancy soirée for America's big day and Chris somehow managed to score himself an invite to the exclusive jol and what does he do? Hook up with Amber, Kanye's lady! Ahem. Sorry lorry, ain't she meant to be all loved up with Kanye?
According to fellow party goers this is what went down. Chris was there with some bird called Teyana Taylor, who is a bust version of his ex, Rihanna but started dancing with Amber until the fame ho (Amber) and pig (Chris) decided to take their canoodling to a couch in the backyard of the mansion. Nice Chris, bring a date to a party and then hook up with another girl! That's the way to salvage your rep and career and win over public affection.
"They were kissing on the dance floor in front of Teyana, then left and then they were holding hands and making out in the shadows," said a witness. "She had her hand on his leg." Ooh lordy, when Kanye gets wind of this, Chris will be deader in Hollywood than Lindsay Lohan's career!
She's just not that into you
In hot hook-up news, last week I mentioned how Hangover star, swoon-worthy Bradley Cooper was busy dating Renee Zellweger while he was meant to be busy with Jennifer Aniston? Of course, I felt bad for Jen as per usual. The chick has had the worst luck with men of late! Anyway, turns out I shouldn't feel too bad for her because she is actually calling the shots. Rumour has it (according to pals!) that Brad (the second one!) wanted to make things a bit more serious with Jen but she wasn't too sure as she's also being romanced by her current co-star, Gerard Butler. Keeping your options open hey Jen, loves it!
Tasty titbits
Rumours are rife that Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson (the gorgeous Edward Cullen) are not only hooking up but that she is pregnant with his child! Scandalous. True? I think not!
Victoria Beckham and Bradilicious Pitt better watch out because their gorgeous other halves, Angelina and Mr Goldenballs aka David are in talks to do an Armani advert together. Smoking hot is the only word I can think of to describe the pair of them together! Can't wait to see it!
