QUESTION
I earn R1500.00 per month. And my debt are up to R 10 000.00. Where can I apply for a loan? I am also on the blacklist.
ANSWER
Contact info@youandyourmoney.org.za (non-profit company) to help you with the blacklisting issue.
If you have a property, see your bank for a possible 2nd mortgage to consolidate your debt – this means you clear your debt and only pay the bank.
BUT this, or making any other loan, is not a solution if you still have the cards / accounts and use them.
Also you need to see a financial advisor or friend / family member who can work with money and let them act as your "accountability partner" – someone you can act out against in your responsibility towards getting debt-free.
But first of all: it's a choice you need to make inside and that might mean making serious changes in your lifestyle and cutting up those account cards and cutting any expenses that you can live without until you're debt free.
All the best ... if you choose this, you'll come out a free and conquering person.
