QUESTION

I need to upgade my cellphone. Currently I have a laptop and external modem (mtn 300MB stick) to connect to the internet, which I primarily use for banking and surfing the net. That contract is also expiring with my phone. I want to be able to access the internet via my phone, and if need be connect via my laptop (using the phone). What do you suggest, a IPhone and what operating system (android)? I want something that is fast enough and safe. I do not want to break the bank with cell-phone costs every month.
