So after compiling a list of our 27 most beautiful brides of the year, we gave you the opportunity to vote and decide which couple you thought deserves the Bride of the Year title, the most.
Much to our surprise, we've had a record number of votes submitted - with couples Loren & Werner and Bavani and Kevin coming up tops in what would result in an additional and final round of voting, due to their joint first place positions.
At the end of the day, there could only be one bride selected as our overall Bride of the Year, and that title, has been awarded to Bavani and Kevin.
The couple proved that not only do office romances end in happily-ever-after moments, but that coming from different religious backgrounds is also no big obstacle in their quest for a happy ending.
While on holiday, Kevin took the opportunity to take Bavani's parents aside and asked for their permission (and blessing) to marry her. He eventually proposed at a restaurant after a day of parasailing, jet-skiing and tubing.
Having decided on the 1st December as a wedding date, the couple quickly started planning, and with the help of their families, managed to pull off not one, but two beautiful ceremonies.
Because Bavani's family come from a Hindu background and Kevin's from a Christian, they opted for a temple ceremony, but combined it to have a joint ceremony, granting Kevin's priest permission to form part of the process.
What resulted, was clearly one of the most beautiful wedding's we've seen to date. To view their gallery, please click here.
