QUESTION

I am getting married next year and will be wearing a predominantly black wedding dress. I will be finalising the invitations in the next few months and want to include something that requests people not to wear black, without giving away the fact that I am wearing black.

Is it appropriate to say something along the lines of : because of the colour scheme of the wedding (which is white, black and green) we request that ladies not wear black - please advise on some better wording.
