We here at Women24 are huge fans of paranormal books.
Whether it's a romance, paranormal thriller or a supernatural horror, there's something about reading about things that go bump in the night that just makes for some seriously entertaining reading .
We've asked you to tell us about your favourite books that feature any kind of paranormal element in them. Here are some of your responses:
The Gargoyle, because it shows that love transcends not only the physical boundaries but also the boundaries of 'time' as we know it.

All the Sookie Stackhouse Books (AKA: True Blood). These are great reads for when you just want to read something light and fun and they are all jam packed with humor, action and sinful delight (descriptive love scene's, lol). Oh, and don't even get me started on the yummy male characters, Eric, Alcide and Quinn, to mention but a few - wowzers!
Julandi
Amanda Quick's books. These are historical paranormal romances that are well written and well researched in both era and subject matter. They make for excellent reads.
Jane
Faerie Tale by Raymond E Feist. It keeps you on the edge of your seat no matter how often you read it
Kathy
I love Stephen Donaldson's series which is written around the character of Thomas Covenant. The worlds are so beautiful and realistic, the tortured soul of Thomas Covenant and his soul mate, Linden Avery, are so believable and yet so unattainable.
Coming back to earth after completing one of the books is jolting, and the unrequited relationship is torturous. I am anxiously awaiting the last book in the series of 10 to see if they will finally be united. Hurry up and write please, Stephen!
Katie
The Twilight Series: it's epic, romantic, and complicated - just like life!
Chantal
Torment by Lauren Tate takes the reader beyond the normal romance into a fantasy world of intrigue with angels and demons
Carol
Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. I love thrillers and paranormal books, and this book has just the right amount of romance with an unpredictable ending that leaves you thinking '"wow".
Andrea
Dean Koontz- Breathless. This story is about evil but at the same time, also fills you with hope. He is a master at telling spine chilling stories.
Delanie
Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie She's Dead by Christiana Miller. It has all the best elements of a good read, i.e. suspense, mystery, humor, tragedy - I couldn't put it down!
Andrea
Tithe by Holly Black. I am a huge fan of books about fairies, and this book had everything that I was looking for: a gritty and grungy urban settings, vicious , deadly and beautiful fae and a kick-ass heroine unafraid of venturing into a world filled with capricious creatures who could easily seduce you and kill you in the space of a single breath.
